Day in the Life of a Student
We offer a comprehensive online curriculum focused on career and college readiness. A typical school day includes focused academic work in core subjects, a flexible schedule, and a daily routine designed to fit each family's needs. Personal free time and real-world exploration create the perfect balance for a structured, yet personalized approach to learning.
Students are expected to meet with their teachers virtually twice a week for one hour and turn in weekly assignments.
Your Role As a Parent/Caregiver
At Calibre Academy, teachers and families form a tight-knit, goal-oriented team that encourages, supports, and guides students throughout the learning process. Our certified teachers work closely with families to provide support and cheer on students as they achieve academic success.
Parents are also expected to monitor their student daily, track weekly progress, ensure content mastery, and assist with course navigation.
To enroll in an online, hybrid, or in-person school in Arizona, students must meet specific state and program eligibility. Before applying, review the eligibility criteria below to ensure the student qualifies for enrollment in grades K-8.
Age Limitations
- Minimum age: Students must be 5 years old by September 1st. Placement for all other grades is based on the last grade completed.
- Maximum age: Up to 8th grade (grade-age appropriate).

Geographic Limitations
- You must reside in the state of Arizona and provide acceptable proof of residency to be eligible for enrollment.
- Calibre serves the entire state of Arizona.
- United States citizenship is not a requirement.
Immunizations
- Students must provide evidence of their immunizations on either a state of Arizona official immunization form, the Calibre Academy form, an official school record, a health care provider or health department printout or an immunization booklet with all doses stamped or signed. Vaccination history or exemption forms must be on file (exemption form signed by a parent).
- Arizona allows for medical, personal or religious exemptions; Calibre can provide a waiver for the parent to sign.
Prior School Requirements
- All students who have previously attended public school, private school or homeschool are eligible to enroll.
- Students who are currently expelled from a public school are eligible to enroll, but will need final approval from Administration.
The following documents are required to begin the online enrollment process.
Student’s Birth Certificate
A copy of the student’s birth certificate must be provided for every student to verify age eligibility. To avoid unnecessary delays, provide a copy of this document along with your enrollment documents.
Note: Birth certificates can be obtained from the Arizona Department of Health Services.
As a reminder, the age eligibility is as follows:

Proof of Immunizations
Students must provide evidence of their immunizations on either a state of Arizona official immunization form, the Calibre Academy form, an official school record, a health care provider or health department printout or an immunization booklet with all doses stamped or signed.
Note: A health care provider must sign or stamp these forms.
Proof of Residency
You must reside in the state of Arizona and provide at least one form of acceptable proof of residency to be eligible for enrollment in Calibre Academy.
Note: United States citizenship is not a requirement.
Acceptable Forms of Documentation for Proof of Residency:
- State ID (must match home address)
- Utility bill (water, gas, electricity, sewer, internet/cable)
- Note: Utility bill must be dated within 30 days of enrollment submission
- Rent receipt, residential lease agreement or mortgage statement
- Bank Statement
- Government correspondence

Prior Academic Records
Those who have previously attended public school, private school or homeschool can provide academic records for placement. Please provide a copy of an IEP along with the below, if it applies to the student.
K-8: Progress Report
Submit a progress report from the prior school year and any documentation issued for the current school year.

Look for an Email Confirmation from Our Principal
Once you complete the form in Step 4, you will receive an email from our Principal of Calibre Academy with a link to our enrollment portal. In the enrollment portal, you will need to create an account, complete the required paperwork, and submit the necessary documents.

Verification of Documentation by Enrollment Team
The enrollment team at Calibre Academy will review the documents and enrollment details provided. This process usually takes 24-48 hours to complete. If you have any questions while you wait, feel free to reach out to us!

Can Anyone Do Online School in Arizona?

What immunizations are required to enroll in Arizona?
The Arizona Department of Health & Human Services requires certain vaccines for all students. See their documentation for the requirements.
You can compare the student’s immunization record to Arizona's immunization record requirements.
Where can I get immunizations for my student?
Immunizations can be obtained from doctor’s offices, clinics or hospitals. Pediatricians and family doctors or their nurses or medical assistants can give your student the shots they need to meet the requirements for school enrollment. In addition, some large chain pharmacies offer immunizations for older children and adults.
Student immunization records can also be accessed via the Arizona State Immunization Information System.
Are there immunization exemptions?
A student may be exempt from immunizations for medical reasons, religious beliefs or personal reasons. All exemptions require a signature and date. Letters must be submitted each year. Please contact the school for exemption forms.
